Generating passion for the natural world
For 50 years, Sir David Attenborough has brought wonders from the natural world to the hearts of millions through his pioneering natural history programmes. His passion for nature has held us spellbound, capturing our imagination and unlocking the secrets of the world around us.
In recognition of the iconic role that Sir David has played in inspiring people about the natural world, the Natural History Museum is proud to be delivering a new live communication space named in his honour.
The David Attenborough Studio will form the heart of the Natural History Museum's new Darwin Centre Phase Two building, open to the public in 2009. As the central focus for the Museum's public engagement programme and delivered in partnership with the BBC, it will bring the public closer to the natural world, through scientific enquiry and exploration.
A successful fundraising campaign has raised over £2 million for the capital build of the David Attenborough Studio. Now you can help us bring this space to life by supporting the innovative technology, and engaging learning programmes that will take place in the studio.
