(Claw of Baryonyx walkeri) Baryonyx means 'heavy claw'. Unusually for a carnivorous dinosaur we know it ate fish as scientists have found fish scales and teeth with its fossil where its stomach would have been.

Uncovering Baryonyx video

In 1983 a team from the Museum excavated a Baryonyx dinosaur. Over the next 10 years they carefully removed all the surrounding rock to reveal the precious bones beneath. Adrian Doyle shows how the tools and techniques have changed in those 23 years.
