From 2 - 4 July 2008 students from around the world gathered at the Natural History Museum to discuss Darwin and how his work has influenced contemporary science and society.
The International Student Summit was co-hosted by the British Council
, who sponsored delegations of international students to join British students at the summit. The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation
also facilitated 60 students from around the UK to attend the conference while a further 60 delegates attended from around London.
In 2003 nearly 12,000 scientists from over 60 countries came to work at the Museum.
