Aimed at an audience of all ages, this spectacular exhibition celebrates the drama and splendour of the natural world by means of astonishing, creative and sometimes humourous wildlife photography.
Rajan snorkelling - Jeff Yonover
Life is about timing. Being in the right place at the right time can mean the difference between feeding and going hungry, finding a mate or missing out, even life or death.
This exhibition of award-winning images captures these moments, thanks to the precise timing of the photographers that took them. A split second later, a minute too soon, and the moment would have been missed.
Cape fox cubs at play - Helmut Niebuhr
In 2007 there were a record 32,318 entries, judged by an expert panel of visual artists and wildlife experts. The 2007 competition saw some of the most imaginative and striking entries yet, and this exhibition is hugely popular at the Museum in South Kensington.
For many years, the Museum has taken the exhibition on tour bringing the award-winning images to venues throughout the world.
Land of the quiver trees - Werner Van Steen
Each image is captioned to reveal the story behind how it was taken. Visitors can marvel at the wonderful images, read the captions and even leave their own comments or 'wild thoughts' about particular images that have inspired them.
