Excavate your own dinosaur
The first retail licenses were set up at the Museum in the early 1990s. Taking root in the excitement generated by the Jurassic Park films, our fast-growing retail business is now a key commercial venture for the Museum, and proceeds support our work promoting the enjoyment, understanding and responsible use of the natural world.
In 2004 the Museum launched its new brand. This ambitious project repositioned the Museum as an ambassador for nature and strengthened our values and mission to understand, protect and promote the natural world. This gave our Licensing business new and exciting ideas for product ranges, and refreshed our appeal to important new retail partners.
In 2007 we won 3 awards for Best Overall Product, Best Textile and Best Children's Product at the Association for Cultural Enterprises Best Product Awards.
